Our division of price by the minutes the page states:
| Plan | Billing | Price a month | Minutes | Per minute |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | Monthly | $29 | 10 | $2.90 |
| Starter | Annual | $18 | 10 (120 a year) | $1.80 |
| Creator | Monthly | $89 | 30 | $2.97 |
| Creator | Annual | $64 | 30 (360 a year) | $2.13 |
Annual billing on Creator saves $300 a year against 12 monthly payments ($1,068 against $768), and on Starter $132 ($348 against $216). Credits on annual plans are a yearly pool (14,500 for Starter, 44,000 for Creator), not a monthly one.
Where the page disagrees with itself
- The page shows “Save 38%” for annual billing. That matches Starter ($29 to $18) but not Creator, where $89 to $64 is a 28% saving.
- The plan cards show Starter at $18 a month billed yearly, but the FAQ figure of $264 a year would be $22 a month. Creator’s card shows $64 against an FAQ of $804 a year ($67 a month). We use the plan cards and flag the gap; confirm the total at checkout.
- Commercial-use terms are not stated on the pricing page; check Synthesia’s terms before using output in ads.
What the price does not show
The page does not say whether retakes or scene changes spend extra credits, so treat the per-minute figures as floors. Dubbing minutes are a separate allowance. Avatar realism, lip-sync quality and language accuracy are not on any pricing page, and we have not assessed them.
Method
Researched from Synthesia’s pricing page, read 29 Sep 2026. USD list prices; per-minute figures are our division and assume the whole allowance is used. Nothing here comes from using the product.
