Murf AI review

Published Updated By AIHunterLabs editorial

Compiled from vendor pages and public sources, checked .

Murf sells AI voiceover two ways. Studio, the editor, was listed on 29 Sep 2026 at “From $19/mo” for Creator and “From $66/mo” for Business, both with 200+ voices and 30+ languages. The API is priced per character: $0.01 per 1,000 characters for the Falcon model and $0.03 for the studio-quality model. Pick Studio if you edit voiceovers by hand; pick the API if a developer will generate audio in bulk. The Studio tab has a Billed Monthly / Billed Yearly switch labelled “Saved 33%”, but the “From” prices did not change in either position, so the page itself does not say which billing they are. Price trackers report $19 and $66 as the annual rates and $29 and $99 as monthly, which fits the 33 percent label; treat that as unconfirmed by Murf.

Downloads are unlimited on all plans. The prices are US dollars and read as “From”, which the page does not explain further, so treat them as the entry price rather than a fixed quote. Voice generation time is listed without a period on the page.

API prices, and what they mean

EndpointPriceCost of 100,000 characters
Text to speech, Falcon$0.01 per 1,000 characters$1.00
Text to speech, studio quality$0.03 per 1,000 characters$3.00
Translation$0.02 per 1,000 characters$2.00
Voice changer$0.10 per minute of input audionot applicable

The free trial gives $10 of credit every month and 150+ voices in 35+ languages; pay-as-you-go credit never expires. The cost column is our arithmetic; the page does not convert characters into minutes of speech.

Who it suits, who should skip

  • Suits Creator: one person producing voiceovers with commercial use and pronunciation controls.
  • Suits Business if you need emphasis and variability controls, transcription, or the business licence.
  • Choose the API for bulk narration: at these rates 100,000 characters costs a few dollars.
  • Skip if you only listen to text: Speechify is built for that. For music and songs see Suno.

What this page cannot tell you

How natural the voices sound is not on a pricing page and we have not judged it. Earlier text claimed 120+ voices and a video sync edge; the page now shows different numbers and we removed the claim.

Method

Researched from Murf’s pricing page, read 29 Sep 2026 in a browser session, Studio and API tabs. Prices are USD as displayed. Cost of 100,000 characters is our arithmetic. Nothing here comes from using the product.

Update log

  1. Rewritten from Murf's pricing page: removed 'best for professional voiceover', the 120+ voices claim (page now says 200+ voices, 30+ languages in Studio) and the old price table; added Studio limits by plan and API per-character prices with worked examples.
  2. Audit: billing basis for the Studio prices stated as unconfirmed by the page, with the Billed Monthly/Yearly switch and its 33 percent label described.
