Grok is free to try, and xAI’s own pricing page (read 29 Sep 2026) lists SuperGrok at $30 a month and SuperGrok Plus at $100, with SuperGrok Lite and SuperGrok Heavy shown as further tiers but with no price in the page text. The Dutch SuperGrok plans page showed no price at all, and the X Premium price names on this page’s older table ($8 and $16) no longer appear on either page. Check the price in the app in your country before paying.
What the pages say each tier includes
| Tier | What is listed |
|---|---|
| Free | Chat, live search of the web and X, reasoning, image and video generation (Grok Imagine), voice, file and PDF analysis, memory, canvas |
| SuperGrok ($30 a month) | Everything in Lite, chats 5x longer, smarter answers in Expert mode, access to xAI’s best model with higher limits, HD 720p video of 30 seconds, longer voice conversations, faster answers, stronger coding tools |
| SuperGrok Plus ($100 a month) | Everything in SuperGrok, plus 1080p video creation, significantly higher usage across chat, Imagine, voice and build, faster replies, priority access at peak times and early access to new features |
| SuperGrok Heavy (price not shown) | Everything in SuperGrok, highest usage at top speed, a larger team of agents working together, X Premium+ at no extra cost (connect your X account to claim it), dedicated support and early access |
The free-tier row draws on the product page’s feature list; the page does not say which of those features carry limits, and the video length differs between pages (15 seconds on the product page, 30 on the SuperGrok page), so check which applies to your tier.
What is distinctive
Grok searches the web and X live and cites sources, which the product page calls real-time X integration. It also has a multi-agent mode in which several agents work in parallel and show their reasoning. We have not assessed how well either works.
Who it suits, who should skip
- Suits people who follow news or trends on X and want an assistant that reads it directly.
- Skip the paid tiers until you hit a free limit; the page does not publish the free limits.
- Look elsewhere for a general assistant with published limits: ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini each show plan tables; for cited web answers see Perplexity.
Method
Researched from xAI’s Grok page and the SuperGrok plans page, read 29 Sep 2026 in a browser session (Dutch-language page translated by us; no prices in the text) and xAI’s pricing page for the dollar prices. Nothing here comes from using the product.
