Runway prices in credits, and the current video model on its pricing page is Gen-4.5, not Gen-3. On 29 Sep 2026 Standard was $15 a month ($12 billed annually) for 625 credits, Pro $35 ($28) for 2,250 and Max $95 ($76) for 9,500. Gen-4.5 costs 60 credits per five seconds, so a five-second clip is about $1.15 to $1.44 on Standard, $0.75 to $0.93 on Pro and $0.48 to $0.60 on Max. The same credits also pay for other models the page lists, including Kling 3.0, Seedance and Nano Banana Pro.

Credits, rollover and top-ups

Monthly credits on Standard and Pro do not roll over and reset within 24 hours of the billing date; on Max, up to one month of unused credits rolls over. Extra credits are sold from 1,000 credits and never expire. Upgrades take effect immediately and are prorated; downgrades apply the unused balance as credit.

What the pricing page cannot answer

Motion quality, consistency and how well each model follows a prompt are not on a pricing page, and we have not assessed them. Runway does not state commercial-use terms on the pricing page; read its terms before using clips in ads. See also Veo, Kling and the Sora alternatives record.

Method

Researched from Runway’s pricing page, read 29 Sep 2026 in a browser session. USD list prices; per-clip figures are our division. Nothing here comes from using the product.

Update log

  1. Rewritten from the pricing page: Gen-3 is no longer the current model, so the old Gen-3 feature copy and prices were removed. Added the credit table, per-clip arithmetic and rollover rules for Gen-4.5.
