OpusClip review

OpusClip turns long videos into short clips, priced in credits. Its pricing page (29 Sep 2026, USD) shows Free at 60 credits a month with a watermark, Starter at $15 a month for 150 credits (monthly billing only), and Pro at $29 monthly or $14.50 a month billed annually ($174 a year) for 300 credits. Business is custom. On Pro the annual price halves the cost per credit. Choose Pro annual if you clip weekly; skip paid plans if you clip a few videos a month, since the free tier may cover it.

Cost per credit, our arithmetic

Plan and billingDollars per credit
Starter$0.100
Pro, monthly$0.097
Pro, annual$0.048

The Pro card also has a pack selector running from 1 to 15 packs; the $29 and $14.50 prices and 300 credits are the 1-pack setting, and we did not read the higher-pack prices. The page does not state how many credits a minute of source video uses, so we cannot convert this into clips or minutes; check the credit counter after a trial run.

Who it suits, who should skip

  • Suits podcasters and creators who post shorts on a regular schedule and want auto-captions, reframing and scheduling in one tool.
  • Suits Pro annual for heavy use, mainly because it halves the price per credit against monthly.
  • Skip Starter if you want the Pro editing and export features: they start at Pro.
  • Skip if you want text-to-video generation rather than clipping: see Pika or Kling AI.

What this page cannot tell you

How well the virality score matches real performance, and how good the automatic cuts are, are not on a pricing page and we have not assessed them. Earlier text said the score predicts engagement and that reframing saves hours; we could not source either.

Method

Researched from OpusClip’s pricing page, read 29 Sep 2026 in a browser session. USD as displayed. Cost per credit is our arithmetic. Nothing here comes from using the product.

Update log

  1. Rewritten from OpusClip's pricing page: removed 'best long-to-short tool', 'viral scoring predicts engagement', 'auto-reframe saves hours' and the old table; added credits per plan, cost per credit and the Free-tier export limit.
  2. Audit: noted the Pro credit-pack selector (1 to 15 packs); listed prices are the 1-pack setting.
