Frase is priced by articles per month. On 29 Sep 2026 its pricing page showed Starter at $39 a month billed annually ($49 monthly) for 10 articles, Professional at $103 ($129) for 40, and Scale at $239 ($299) for 100. Every plan includes AI-visibility tracking and SEO and GEO scores. It suits a small publisher or freelancer producing 10 to 100 optimised articles a month; below 10 you still pay for the full Starter allowance.

Overage versus upgrading, worked out
Professional and Scale offer optional pay-as-you-go extras that are off by default: $5 per extra article and $0.50 per audit page on Professional, $4 and $0.40 on Scale. Starter has no overage.
- Need 60 articles a month on annual billing: Professional plus 20 extra articles is $103 + 20 x $5 = $203. Scale is $239. Overage is cheaper.
- Break-even: $103 + $5n = $239 gives n = 27.2, so Professional with overage stays cheaper up to about 67 articles a month. On monthly billing, $129 + $5n = $299 gives n = 34, about 74 articles.
- Past that, Scale wins on price, and it also brings 5 seats and 10 domains.
Extra seats on Starter and Professional cost $29 a month each, which can tip a small team toward the next plan.
What a plan includes beyond articles
AI visibility tracking covers ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers on Starter, adds Perplexity on Professional, and adds Claude and Gemini on Scale, with 50, 200 and 500 tracked prompts respectively. Content Guard watches 10, 75 and 300 pages. Publishing connects to WordPress, Webflow, Sanity or Wix, or you can host on FraseCMS. What the pricing page cannot tell you is whether Frase’s optimisation scores correlate with rankings; for that you need independent tests.
Old price lists are out of date
Many third-party reviews still quote Solo at $15, Basic at $45 and Team at $115, or a per-article overage of $3.50. Those do not match the vendor’s pricing page as of 29 Sep 2026, so use the table above and the pricing tracker, not older roundups.
