Surfer is priced by documents and seats. On 29 Sep 2026 its pricing page showed Discovery at $49 a month billed annually ($59 monthly) for 120 documents and 1 seat, Standard at $99 ($119) for 360 documents and 3 seats, Pro at $182 ($219) for 360 documents and 5 seats, and Peace of Mind at $299 ($359) with unlimited documents under fair use and 10 seats. AI-search tracking is a separate product from $82 a month billed annually. It suits someone who optimises many articles a month; a blogger publishing a few posts will pay for capacity they do not use.

Standard is the cheapest per document, and Pro costs more than Standard for the same document count; what it adds is two more seats, more AI tracking (50 prompts daily and 5 brand spaces) and a Contentful integration. A “document” is an item in Surfer’s content editor, not a finished article, so per-document costs are not per-article costs. Paying monthly instead of annually adds $10, $20, $37 and $60 a month across the four plans, which the page labels as annual savings of $120, $240, $444 and $720 a year on Discovery to Peace of Mind respectively.
The currency label
Read from a European connection, the page showed the same numbers with a euro sign; the page’s own code defaults to USD and describes a rewrite of the label to EUR for some visitors. So the figures above are the same numerals in either currency, and the label you see depends on where you browse from. We could not confirm the label from a US connection, so check yours before paying, and do not assume a conversion.
What Surfer grades
Surfer’s editor scores a draft against pages that already rank for a keyword, and lists terms, headings and length to match. Nothing on the pricing page says whether a higher score improves rankings, and Google’s documents do not name any third-party score as a ranking input (what Google says). Treat the score as a checklist that speeds up research, not as evidence. Independent tests of score against rankings were not checked for this page.
