Otter’s limits are more specific than its plan names. On 29 Sep 2026 Basic was free with 300 transcription minutes a month and 30 minutes per conversation; Pro was $16.99 a user monthly or $8.33 billed annually with 1,200 minutes and 90 minutes per conversation; Business was $30 or $19.99 with unlimited in-app recording, 4-hour conversations and 6,000 imported-file minutes. That makes Pro about $0.85 per transcribed hour on monthly billing and $0.42 on annual, if you use all 1,200 minutes.
Pick a plan by meeting length
| You have | Plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| A few short calls | Basic, free | 300 minutes, 30 minutes per conversation, 3 lifetime file imports |
| Regular meetings up to 90 minutes | Pro | 1,200 minutes, 10 file imports a month |
| Long interviews, workshops or lots of uploads | Business | 4 hours per conversation, 6,000 imported minutes, 25 billed users |
| SSO, HIPAA add-on, API | Enterprise | Custom; the page lists SSO, SCIM and a HIPAA add-on |
The limits that decide it
The comparison table on the pricing page separates live recording from imported files:
| Limit | Basic | Pro | Business | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Meeting and recording transcription a month (per user, no rollover) | 300 min | 1,200 min | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Imported file transcription a month | 300 min | 1,200 min | 6,000 min | 6,000 min |
| Longest conversation | 30 min | 90 min | 4 hours | 4 hours |
| Workspace members | 5 | 5 billed users | 25 billed users | Unlimited |
| Custom AI template uses | 5 meetings | 15 | 30 | Unlimited |
Two consequences. A two-hour interview cannot be transcribed on Basic or Pro as a single conversation, whatever the minute total. And the Pro price per hour is only a floor: minutes do not roll over.

Annual billing on Pro saves 51% by the page’s own label, $99.96 a year against $203.88. A lower asterisked annual price (about $4.17) appears elsewhere on the page without an explanation we could read, so it is not used here; confirm at checkout.
What the pricing page cannot answer
Transcription accuracy, speaker labelling quality and the usefulness of summaries are not on it, and we have not assessed them. If accuracy matters, look for independent tests by named reviewers and check them against your kind of audio. If you need CRM connections, compare Fireflies; for editing recorded audio by transcript, Descript.
Method
Researched from Otter’s pricing page and its comparison table, read 29 Sep 2026. USD list prices per user; per-hour figures are our division and assume the whole allowance is used. Nothing here comes from using the product.
