You can no longer choose between them: relay.app states “Relay.app shut down in September 2026” and that all accounts, workflows and run history were permanently deleted. Relevance AI is still selling, but its pricing page on 29 Sep 2026 showed a single Enterprise tier with custom pricing and no listed price. So the useful question is now the one this page was written around: should a person approve each step, or should agents run unattended? Pick a tool with human approval steps for anything costly to get wrong, and an autonomous agent platform only for low-stakes, repeatable work.

The decision that outlasts both tools
- Human approval step: a person reviews the AI’s output before anything is sent or changed. It adds delay and gives you a record of who approved what. Use it for contracts, payments, customer-facing messages and anything regulated.
- Autonomous agent: the system acts without a check. It scales, and its mistakes scale with it. Use it where a wrong output is cheap to undo.
- A middle path: let the agent act freely on drafts and require approval only at the send or write step.
Whether a given tool supports an approval step, and how, is something to read in its own docs; we have not tested any.
